Throughout the vast country, individuals residing within the vicinity and across Eastern Europe, including foreign nations, speak Russian as their second language. The language constitutes a case system, which may appear a dreadful prospect. In some aspects, some people find the language harsh as it comprises the crucial fragments. In contemporary society, the Russian language, as a renowned language across the UN, Western countries, including the United States, hope for teaching the foreign language as discussed in the paper.

In the US, the initial launch for the Russian language as a foreign curriculum set in 1957 during the Soviet sputnik[1]. The aim of teaching the language was the thought of Russian as a threat to the United States of America. In the current USA, the recognition of foreign languages is on the upsurge. Among the top foreign languages taught and learned within the USA constitutes the Russian language (Brinton, 23). The learning institutions within the USA strive for higher education requirements to effectively teach a foreign language.

Notably, teaching foreign language across many states utilizes principles developed by prominent educators. Effective teaching of the foreign language necessitates the comprehension of the “Five Cs[2].” The standards contained in the Five Cs incorporates the content that makes the students pros in the language. Besides, to teach the language, understanding the diversity in the culture, communication, among other factors, play a role (Kagan, 490). When it comes to communication, the standards for learning requires that learners master the art of communicating the language in real life rather than having the concepts.

In essence, learning foreign language incorporates the comprehension of the cultural perspective. Culture persists in being an integral concept in the world of languages (Brinton, 23). Therefore, teaching the foreign language necessitates helping the students grab some cultural aspects to appreciate the association amid the language and other concepts[3]. Moreover, culture aid the students in the comprehension of individuals views, ways, and their contribution to life. Overall, the understanding of cultural aspects in the teaching of the Russian language is important, enriching the students with diverse ways of approaching the language.

Similarly, the teaching of Russian as a foreign language in the USA requires that teachers connect instructions from the language into their subject area. According to Kathryn (14), enabling the students to discover patterns and themes for the language aids in facilitating a better understanding of the students. Also, teaching the foreign language necessitates the provision of a conducive and safe environment where the students explore[4]. Besides, creating programs such as trips and exchange programs play a critical role in providing an outstanding experience where the students can learn the foreign language. Teaching Russian as a foreign language in the US ensures that learners receive a well-rounded education. It is essential in preparing the learners to pursue the world of reality in diverse ways.

In a nutshell, teaching Russian as a foreign language is an excellent approach. It is because learning the foreign languages broadens the experiences for students. Besides, it aids the students in experiencing different cultures that allow the students to personalize their education. Also, the language facilitates the introduction of new concepts for the students.
