The Thrill of Hiking.
Imagine finally finding something that you have labored to find. That is what hiking is for me, hiking through a series of bends, and meandering roads that reveal a magnificent view at the end. Walking up a mountain may seem like a task that is self-inflicted pain, but the reward at the end is worth the struggle. Hiking breaks the restrictions of one’s body and opens them up to a new self. Walking through a series of hills, for example, reveals beautiful scenery which, when observed from a lower point, only seems casual. Many people think hiking is only done on mountains and hills; however, that is not the case. I like hiking through forests, naturally occurring caves, and generally exploring the land that is close to nature and far from civilization.
Hiking helps me appreciate nature and the beauty that exists in the less trodden ground. The satisfaction that comes with breathing natural, clean, and refreshing air makes the hustle of climbing mountains and hills and the thrill of walking through forests worthwhile. My interest in hiking stems from double-edged advantages. Through hiking, I can achieve fitness while at the same feeding my curiosity and satisfaction in nature. Talk about hitting two birds with one stone. The unexpectedness of a hiking trail adds to the thrill of hiking. It has since maintained my interest in the activity. The vast natural trails existing in the world add to my curiosity in hiking and discovering new magnificent places. Take, for example, taking a walk through a nature trail only to find a beautiful creek with clear blue water. Such discoveries are the high point for many hikers, including me.
