Three Ways how I am a Genius
Genius people have the exceptional intellectual ability. Mostly, geniuses are highly intelligent in one field of expertise. Throughout history, the world has witnessed geniuses, most of whom leave an impact in their area of specialization. Some of the world-renown geniuses include Albert Einstein for his discovery of the theory of relativity. Michelangelo is famous for his mastery in painting, the last judgment being among his most famous masterpieces. Isaac Newton discovered gravity as well as the three laws of motion. Geniuses also exist in the modern world. Christopher Hirata is renowned for his mastery in cosmology and astrophysics. At the age of 16, Hirata was working with NASA and got his Ph.D. at 22 years. All the geniuses mentioned, and others throughout history have some common traits which make them exceptional people. I consider myself a genius because I share several characteristics with most geniuses. I will describe three qualities that make me a genius.
I have an insatiable curiosity. Just like all geniuses, I always feel the urge to acquire new information. I dig up information about historical events and understand the reason behind certain past events. Whereas other people find historic events boring, I enjoy mastering and understanding facts about historical events. Apart from history, I like reading novels. I read bibliographies, autobiographies, fiction novels as well as books about general knowledge. I believe that knowledge is found in books. Usually, I can stay up all night because I cannot sleep peacefully without completing a novel. I never go to sleep without learning at least one new thing daily.
I am an introvert. Although I make friends quickly, I prefer my company to socializing with friends. I withdraw from society because I feel that people do not understand me. My age mates find me weird because of my obsession with books. The modern generation is internet savvy and outgoing. However, I maintain a low social media presence because I am always too busy satisfying my curiosity. In most instances, my interests and priorities do not align with most people, leaving me with few friends. Therefore, I rarely find the right social group where I can express myself freely without feeling left out. Also, my introverted nature is due to my tendency to over think situations. Whereas most of my friends are impulsive, I rarely make any decision without thinking. Even decisions as simple as what to eat, I tend to take my time and think about my options. Such over-thinking tendencies make me socially awkward with a limited circle of friends.
I always admit what I do not know. Based on my mastery of facts, I like to admit when I go wrong. I completely understand that the only way to know is to admit not knowing. Most people do not accept when they are wrong to avoid lowering their status. However, genius people understand that acknowledging the fact that they do not know something is an opportunity to learn something new. My insatiable curiosity demands new knowledge and I always admit not knowing. Geniuses like me understand that when you do not know, you can learn.
In conclusion, I possess rare traits that are common to most geniuses. I have an insatiable curiosity that drives my appetite for knowledge. Due to my different interest and priorities, I am socially withdrawn. Also, I always admit when I do not know because I see an opportunity of acquiring new knowledge. Most geniuses seem odd because they are unique to the general population. However, geniuses can change the perspective of the world by productively using their intelligence.
