The list based upon similar themes from the above topic includes postpartum depression screening, opioid use disorder, new mothers, use of substance disorder, and importance of education to nurses on the use of obstetrics (Russomagno & Waldrop,2019). The questions developed from the themes are as follow.
- How does increasing postmortem depression screening frequencies affect the rate of referral of new mothers?
- How does educating nurses on the use of obstetrics and gynecology opioid prescribing guidelines affects the rates of opioid prescription for pain management among new mothers?
- What are the effects of using substance disorder to new mothers?
- What is the importance of evaluating a postpartum depression screening and treatment on the rate of referrals?
- How does maternal depression impact both the mother and child?
The question I choose to use in my final project is how does increasing postmortem depression screening frequencies affect the rate of referral of new mothers? The relevance of these questions is to enhance the understanding of the importance of frequent postmortem depression screening and the effects it has on the rate of new mothers. The reason for choosing this topic is because it has always remained unaddressed by researchers and it may help in reducing the effects on child development, improve early detection as well as promoting maternal recovery (Jacobsen, 2017).
