Transparency of safety, quality, and price implies that healthcare operations are operating in openness. Therefore, transparency in these three aspects allows consumers to pick service providers that they can afford and that they can trust. Additionally, transparency in safety, quality, and price also enable consumers of healthcare services to choose healthcare providers that they can also be transparent too. In other words, a healthcare provider that lacks transparency can discourage consumers from disclosing certain information. Without transparency, consumers will not be able to the providers that suit their needs. In most cases, providers that lack transparency give false information about the quality of their services. When consumers rely on such false information to make decisions, they end up receiving poor quality of services. But when health providers are transparent, consumers are able to select providers that are within their budgets.
Question 2
Consumer decisions influence leadership decisions and organizational direction in a number of ways. For instance, consumers that make purchases on the basis of what is trending can compel organizations to make production decisions that are relevant to what is trending at the time. Price-conscious consumers can compel organizations to alter the prices of their commodities to suit the purchasing power of their clients. Quality-conscious clients, on the other hand, can compel organizations to organizational leaders to make decisions that are aimed at quality improvement in a move to attract quality-conscious customers. As such, organizations must always be on the lookout for factors that affect consumer purchasing patters such as price, quality, trends, etc.
