Introduction.
When we talk about trends, we refer to a pattern that shows changes gradually in a specific condition. Trends can similarly mean something popular at a particular time. Trends can happen in different sectors. Among the industries that trends can happen, there can either a trend in entertainment. The fashion industry can experience trends, and there can also be a trend in the rising or falling of the temperatures. In my case, I will examine the pattern that is taking place in the fashion industry. The fashion industry is an important area to explore. The reason why this industry is essential is because of how fashion has been changing since the olden days. If we look at how we used to dress when we were young and how we wear now, there is a notable difference. The same thing is happening if we compare how our parents used to wear and how we dress. The difference is similarly notable. Below is an analysis of trends that have taken place in the fashion industry, their causes and their effects.
The trend in fashion is brought about by several factors that are related to maintaining the image that society has on people. There is evidence from past years showing human beings have always had the desire to appear suitable in the eyes of each other and society. Since the olden days, human beings have used different methods to make themselves look good before the other people’s eyes. During the olden days, ornaments were used in the making of the clothes. As technology developed, people came up with different types of clothes. The different types of clothes signified the class or the peculiarity of the people that wore them. An exciting factor about the trend in fashion is that this phenomenon did not only happen to one part. The aspect took place all over the world. The patterns of behaviour of people are sometimes used to identify the cause of a particular trend in fashion. The individuals that are concerned about outlook before other people are keen about how their fashion is going to be seen by their friends or even the communities that they come. The above points show fashion trends are caused by thinking of how society will view an individual: Similarlry, an individual’s perception of fashion and presentation.
Accessories such as ornaments, footwear and clothes are used to judge the fashion trend. Due to gender differences, fashion is divided into two. There is male and female fashion. Women’s fashion is mostly considered as the male style when analyzing the trends in fashion. Since the olden days, fashion trends from the west have been the basis of trends in other nations in the world. Those that travelled in the western world changed the fashion trend of the places that they came from when they returned home from the western countries. The most significant change in fashion happened in the 14th Century. Another change in the hairstyle was introduced during this time. The hairstyle became more popular in the world from the 18th Century to the 19th Century, with the advancement in a civilization, the codes of dressing begun to be divided. The division was done in two ways. Casual wear and formal wear were introduced. The casual dressing code was left for the general public while heads of states, professionals, diplomats and officials used formal wear. The change was also done due to societal differentiation, where people from high-classes wore different from the ordinary people, thus putting them in their class and creating a picture of their power to society.
Fashion changes as time goes. By the 19th Century, there had been several changes in fashion trends. Although the changes are inevitable, it is still clear that the way that people dress and how they present themselves to the world through dressing represents their behaviours and their personality. The use of a particular dress code in some of the government institutions is also made possible so that the society can be able to see the different people that live among them. In the recent past, those that are on the frontline in terms of bringing the latest trends. Teenagers and other people often emulate their fashion when they see them on television or when they attend their shows.
Conclusion
In conclusion, we can agree that fashion trend is a phenomenon that will keep on changing its pattern. As time goes, new trends are discovered, but we cannot forget to denote that as we change towards fitting the latest fashion trend, society still observes you. Regardless of the time or season, culture remains to be the basis of the choice of fashion. At the same time, we cannot fail to recognize that as much as the fashion industry is not known, it is an industry that earns governments a lot of revenue.
