Summary Statement
Uber is among the world’s infamous taxi firms. The services are available in many urban centers and European cities like Moscow, Minsk, Lisbon, Turin, etc. Uber is a firm that offers competent driver service and professional transport services. As with any existing or emerging organization, nevertheless, Uber may be at risk of some financing instabilities or organizational difficulties. There are numerous current and potential business problems Uber faces, the variables that characterize the organizational value, or may challenge it in various nations. In reality, evaluating the practical viewpoints of the Uber is a good opportunity to comprehend different facets of the global market and identify the most suitable approaches.
Uber is commonly regarded as a fairly new fast-growing enterprise. This is different from typical taxi businesses. Public authorities employ different firms to operate in some regions. Clients phone up, ask for a taxi for a given time and location, and signal one down the road. Drivers are involved with the organization under its terms of employment escort riders on their trips. Users pay the hired drivers immediately after the end of the journey, indicating that the drivers owe a percentage of their estimated earnings to the business that hires them.
Background
The association between principal and agent is described as an agreement whereby one entity legally gets to appoint others to act on its behalf. The individual acts on behalf of the owner in this partnership, and therefore should abstain from getting into a conflict of interest in conducting the activity. The linkage is referred to as the organization between the agent and the principal. Agency law sets out requirements for such a union (Mudric, 2019). The interaction between the principal-agent establishes a contractual duty between parties concerned. The agent is accountable for the execution of an assignment provided by the principal, provided that the principal offers appropriate guidance. By evaluating the taxi company Uber, strict liability law can be set into an intriguing perspective. For example, in 2013, an Uber driver at work murdered a six-year-old in Francisco due to reckless driving (Isaac, 2014). It brought up the issue as to whether the driver or Uber might sue her family. To put it another way, was the driver Uber’s worker rendering them legally responsible or an IC, limiting his sole liability?
Recommendations
Measures Uber can undertake to minimize its risk liability to driver actions include; racism, Uber needs to establish a strong zero-tolerance approach to discriminate of any kind. It indicates that if they are reported to have biased against drivers and other users based on their ethnicity, faith, or nationality, based on their sex, gender, marital status, race, disability, religion, or sexual orientation, other main elements as highlighted by the law. Unlawful behavior, dishonest conduct reinforces the trust Uber builds upon. The organization has implemented a policy to disable any accounts related to this form of operation, including; harassment promotions, the complicity between rider and driver, dispute tariffs for fraudulent or double account formation. This would lower litigation costs, which are presently rising at a high pace. Weapons prohibition, Uber will follow a policy that prevents riders and drivers from having weapons in a vehicle when using our application. Firearms restriction policy specifically defines the possibility of losing access to Uber by persons who breach Uber’s firearms ban policy(Isaac,2014).
Star Ratings, Uber Company, requires employees after every trip to be strictly ratable. Drivers and passengers will rate one another on a scale of five stars and provide input on how the ride progressed (Mudric, 2019). The two-way process maintains everyone responsible for their actions. Throughout the long run, transparency aids all drivers and passengers throughout establishing a positive, healthy environment. Keeping positive ratings is crucial to the Uber app’s reputation. It’s for the best of passengers and drivers together. Drivers can quickly compare their overall standing in the Uber Partner App’s Ratings tab.
Uber organizations should maintain aside sufficient funds to obtain new techniques to deliver riders and drivers safe. Implementing GPS that plays a significant role in monitoring every trip and enabling passengers to communicate their trips with relatives in real time and promote smooth operations in the delivery of services (O’Brien,2018). The organization must ensure drivers receive an improved background investigation as needed by the regulatory authority concerned. Uber will also be developing a committed incident management team to handle safety accidents on request 24/7. The company will also devote staff who works alongside the police in all the areas in the UK and Ireland. The goal is to provide information on special inquiries where necessary.
