Hello Phoebe, while change is usually inevitable, in a majority of times, this change is bound to lead to stress development. Coping with this challenge can be difficult; however, we can consider several ways. The first is stress management. Stress can affect nurses’ performance in the new department. Therefore, it is essential that the nurse devices stress management procedures that best fit their needs (Carlson, 2015). Another way to deal with stress developing from change is by merely embracing the change. Embracing change involves accepting the change and developing the willingness to conform to the change. Embracing change is key to stress management.

Hello Cinthia, owing to the numerous merits and demerits associated with providing services in healthcare, the role of a nurse is usually either highly rewarding or highly challenging. Therefore, the principles of bioethics help in providing an ethical framework for the practices of healthcare professionals. According to Beauchamp (2016), there are four main principles of healthcare ethics, namely autonomy, which gives the patient the right to be in control of their own body, beneficence, which requires healthcare professionals to undertake activities that benefit the patient, non-maleficence, which is known as the “do no harm” principle and justice advocates for fairness in medical decisions.

Hello Kevin, the primacy effect is a fundamental influence that dictates the decision-making process. Closely associated with the primacy effect is the recency effect. The recency effect refers to the situation where more recent information is more clearly remembered and contributes more in decision-making as compared to earlier information (Fang, Van Kleef, & Sauter, 2018). This means that more recent information is better remembered and readily available for use in making decisions. For example, in your situation, the guy you employed as a teenager who had minimal value to the firm has grown professionally and is now a valuable resource. His current status had influenced your decision to promote him, regardless of who he was when you first met.

Hello Jason, counterfeit listening is a significant factor affecting effective communication. In the present day, you will find someone talking to another person who is on their phone, giving minimum attention to what is being said. In your case, it is vital that you have identified with your weakness in listening, and you are willing to improve on it. To help you do so, you should consider several pointers. The first is being keen on the micro-behaviors. Micro-behaviors include things like maintaining eye contact and paraphrasing. These indicate the intent to understand what the speaker is saying. Another pointer is to listen with the intent to understand, a majority of listeners listen because they want to provide the most appropriate response, which is misguided (Handayani, 2018).
