Vegetarianism
Reducing meat intake and eating certain specific animals is still considered meat consumption that does not take into consideration the well-being of the animals. Therefore, I find buying meat from farms that treat animals well morally justifiable for several reasons. One, the act assumes that animals are beings that need care and proper treatment and two, the act maintains the dignity of these non-human creatures. How about an animal like a cow is given a shade, treated when it is sick given proper food and then later killed for meat. Does that action not guarantee the owner to provide it with rest by killing and eating it because it treated the animal with dignity and respect?
Buying meat from a farm that treated it well will not be considered immoral because when it lived it was handled well and by human being eating it is a way of giving back to the farmer for the care given. Human being sacrifices, finances and time to take care of these animals. Since these animals do not have another alternative as a thank you, it would be right for the farmers to award themselves through killing them and eating the meet just as an appreciation for the good life they were given when they lived. Thus, eating an animal from a farm that treated it nicely is morals it is considered an act of giving back to the farm that took care of it.
Given the reasoning behind the alternative chosen, ethical vegetarians like Peter Singer would view the practice of eating meat differently. That is, from a perspective where the farmer is just rewarding himself/herself for having given the animal a good life.
