Internet of Things (IoT) is an idea in which devices are connected and have an on and off switch. It is a massive connection of devices using a network to people with the aid of the internet. Examples of these devices are washing machine, coffee makers, TV’s, wearables or any other electronic device which can be controlled via another device.

Internet of things devices has mini-computer and sensor processors which react on the collected data by the sensors through machine learning (Miller, 2015). The process by which computers learn in the same way as humans are referred to as machine learning. Internet on Things can collect data from the surroundings, therefore, making IoT devices smart.

Internet on Things is made to make the lives better. Hence, IoT has several advantages to human activities such, monitoring our homes using security devices, smart voices that assist in placing usual takeout directive on command and delivering ideas on food preparation to your smartphone or laptop hence staying healthy.

Internet of Things has progressed in a few industrial sectors such as in energy, connected vehicles, and manufacturing (Sathi, 2016,). Connected technology has transformed companies via enhancing the competition at the intersection of people. The productivity and efficiency have improved operational effectiveness hence putting those organizations.

There are plenty of innovative wearables in the market and are not limited to fitness trackers and range is expanding to clothing that monitors the rate of respiration. The devices generate environmental and biometric data for either comprise or feedback that allow smart processors.

Also, the Internet of Things has made working in industry easy since everything can be monitored and controlled using a device or a smartphone. This has increased the productivity and competition in the industry since every industry wants to use improved technology for better and improved services.

Moreover, the Internet of Things has played a vital role in social media. Considering the meaning of IoT, all devices that serve in social media such as Facebook are interconnected worldwide by one network (Waher, 2015). As long someone has a Facebook or Twitter app is connected by technology whereby they can communicate freely.

With more improved technology, people will be able to come up with more social media apps that help on connecting more people all over the world. Also, the industry will be wider and much improved that will aid in coming up with apps that have more options and favor the digital generation.

IoT has helped in many ways about social media. It has led to the discovery of more advanced sites such as WhatsApp and Twitter that connects people from every part of the world. It has enabled communication to people regardless of the place you are in at a lower cost and can reach the other person on time.

Internet of Things has greatly changed the world. The vast and rapid growth of a network of devices shows an evolution in that objects can interact with other objects (Wenkart, 2014). IoT has greatly influenced sectors such as banking, energy and utilities, and insurance. Application of analytical data created by the interactions gives an opportunity the way we play, live and work.

In banking, energy, and insurance, this technology can maximize working since no human is needed to attend the people at particular offices. Moreover, the institutions and these organizations will be more efficient on those devices will not be tired and can provide best and accurate services as long they are looked at the time to time.

The three institutions will benefit greatly by this technology since it can reduce the number of workers at each company and the company will progress normally. By reduction of workers, the company will finally save their income since the money that was awarded to those people will be saved.

Making things that we are using to have the ability of internet access or making them be smart devices such as vehicles is well known as the Internet of Things. In architecture, aids in building IoT devices by ensuring they can communicate with the rest of the world. Communication technology affects the requirements of a device and its cost.

IoT has greatly improved architectural sector by enabling them to come up with more modern devices. Also, it will help them connect many items into the technology making their working broad and enhancing safety in automobiles. It will enable them to come up with embedded devices that can receive and receive information over the network.

The technology widens the market in the architectural sector whereby their products can be in great demand. By this, the company will gain more income hence supporting more people by providing job opportunities.
