I am writing to inform you of an ERP recommendation that I believe would be the best fit for Western Pharmaceuticals. As our company continues to grow, it has come to my realization that we need an ERP system to ease the flow between the internal business functions and externally to the stakeholders.
There are several examples of ERP software. They include; Oracle ERP Cloud, Acumatica, BizAutomation, and Oracle NetSuite ERP. Implementing an ERP system is a practical insight to follow up with raw materials from their onset, through processing and packaging, and finally to transportation (Al-Majali and Tahrini, 2016, pg.10). For any company, it is relevant to follow the right procedures when choosing an ERP system. In this case, the company should consider the system’s ability to track the raw material and its capacity to adapt to its manufacturing process.
Nevertheless, an ERP system that would be the best fit for Western Pharmaceuticals is the Oracle NetSuite ERP. It is the leading cloud software for wholesale distributors (Rohm, 2017, p. 1), and its solution is built in the cloud. It consists of a thorough functionality that supplies the businesses with the software tools needed to run their operations. This system incorporates a phased approach to implementation for efficiency. In the first phase, it establishes the financials, customer relationship, and inventory management and prebuilt reports of business intelligence. Over the next stage, it helps a company innovate and expand. Lastly, it makes the company transformational (Rohm, 2017, p. 1).
Oracle NetSuite ERP system has improved business digitization, thus enhancing the speed of carrying out business operations. Further, it has secured a worldwide status with international data centers hence pushing the company into the global markets aggressively (Rohm, 2017, p. 1). Besides, it reduces operation costs by permitting the business to select modules that it needs. Since it is a cloud enterprise, data can be accessed immediately, allowing the company to save on time. It also enhances the data’s accuracy. Nonetheless, NetSuite integrates several applications in a single module that covers the company’s entire business. Its solutions are encoded in the cloud. This implies that a company requires only a browser and internet connection on any device to run it. Furthermore, since there are many processes involved in a business’s daily operations, NetSuite has reduced the challenges in hiring through automation, hence reducing expenses.
NetSuite ERP system will be of much benefit to Western Pharmaceuticals because it is developed to maximize time usage, unlike other ERP systems (Rohm, 2017, p. 1). Wholesome distribution is the company’s main activity, and the system will add capabilities that are vital in achieving its objective. It brings best practices and tools to deepen the understanding of wholesome delivery, thus ensuring success from sales to customer engagement.
Conclusively, the system functionality shows that using online software over the internet warrants the business’s success. Implementing ERP systems within a business provides transparency. Besides, it enables it to operate profitably and efficiently.
