Return to School Measures
Western Tech Campus laid out measures to be followed by the students to prevent the spread of the novel Coronavirus when the school reopens on the 1st of June 2020.
Wearing Mask: Students will be required to wear masks all the time when they are on campus. The school will provide students with a pack containing a face mask and hand sanitizer before entry into the campus. There will also be hand sanitizer in the pack and instruction manual on how to clean the mask.
On-Campus Screening: There will also be an on-campus screening before entry into the campus to take measurements such as student’s temperature and ask specific questions regarding symptoms exhibited by individuals with Covid19. Individuals who exhibit symptoms related to Covid19 will need to see their doctor, and those with the illness will be restricted from entry to the campus until they recover.
Social distancing: Social distancing measures have been implemented on the campus to ensure that the social distance of six feet is maintained. These social distances measures include having one-way hallways, which will ensure that students do not cross to prevent the spread of Covid19. Signs indicating the direction of movement in the hallways are in place, and the students are required to follow them.
Limited access to some area: There is the closure of areas that may lead to crowding and limiting the number of people in some areas on campus. Limited access includes the temporary closure of the library and the library waiting area. There is a limited number of seats in the campus lobby while the classroom capacity to seven students per classroom.
Limited campus capacity: The campus has limited the number of the student returning with only three programs returning on the current set date. Only PET, PTA, and MCA will be returning, but massage is pending approval. The student break area will limit the table to one person per table. The patio area will be open to one person per area.
