Interviewer: Well, we mostly deal with writing company announcements, press releases, and other bits of information, which we deem as being essential to media outlets.

  1. Interviewee: Do you have any immediate projects that need to be worked on?

Interviewer: We are currently in the middle of a rebranding process, and this has been occupying the department over the last few weeks. We are also trying to restructure the communications department, although this is a long-term project.

  1. Interviewee: What is the timeline for the rebranding process?

Interviewer: The entire project was rolled out a month ago and is scheduled to be completed within the next three months.

  1. Interviewee: What are the experiences and skills you are looking for in a candidate?

Interviewer: The department is looking for someone who is tenacious and is capable of working under minimal supervision. The candidate also needs to display a degree of ingenuity when dealing with media responses and publishing content.

  1. Interviewee: What type of skills do you feel the communications department is missing?

Interviewer: Well, we are currently starved of creative minds who have the tenacity to communicate the values of the company in a distinct brand voice. We need an individual who is tenacious, creative, and an excellent communicator.

  1. Interviewee: What are you doing to reduce the high rates of attrition?
  1. Interviewee: Is the communications assistant role new to this company?
  1. Interviewee: Will the job description change in the coming six months?

Interviewer: Since we are currently going through a rebranding and restructuring process, the job description will likely change. However, the changes will be minimal, and the primary responsibilities will remain the same.
