Why do you think outpatient services are so popular with healthcare consumers? Discuss your experience with outpatient services.

I think outpatient services’ popularity is because they do not need a stay at the hospital.  The flexibility of outpatient services also informs the high popularity. Arguably, a stay at the hospital means additional costs such as accommodation cost and food cost on the standard healthcare cost. Based on my experience with outpatient services, I may say that these services cause less hitch to patients as they spent less on healthcare. These services are quick and do not require much money. I remember when I was sick, and I had to attend the clinic occasionally as per the doctor’s advice. It took me fewer days to recover from malaria. Besides, no one could know that I am sick since I spent most of my time as usual, and thus, my family did not have stress and tension over my illness. I believe staying with other patients in the hospital may intensify the sickness and therefore impose slow recovery.
