Why Employees Stay
Many companies have been spending a lot of time and money on frequent recruitment of new employees. The cases of employees leaving a company or any other place of their work have been experienced almost daily. Due to this reason, various studies have been conducted on the same issue, and some of the findings from such studies have been proposed to be effective in ensuring employee retention. Such results included employees’ links, employees’ fitting, and employees’ sacrifices (Haley, 2018). I have been in two companies since I started seeking jobs. In my current job company, I have spent several years, and up to date, there are no signs of leaving the company since I feel satisfied with the company. Based on the three factors; links, fit, and sacrifice, I have been able to stay in the company for this long.
The idea of employees’ link is critical since it depicts cooperation and teamwork. We have been cooperating as a team in the company, and this has helped in the reduction of conflict and confusion in the workplace (Haley, 2018). Based on employees’ fitting, it calls for competence in one’s area of specialization. Since I have the necessary skills and that I have sufficient experience, I fit in my line of operation, and due to that, I am productive to the company. Therefore my absence is the company’s vast loss. I have sacrificed myself a lot even I have been working extra time with or without payment since I have the feeling that I am a part of the company, and I am always happy when it succeeds. Through the above-discussed factors, I have been able to stay in my current workplace.
