Israel and Palestine continue to experience protracted conflict since 1948- when Israel republic was created in the Middle East following the Jewish settlement in British Palestine spheres. The struggle for self-determination by both countries has occasioned bloody conflicts- such as Sinai (1956) war and Yom Kipur (1976)-with casualties as well as population displacements(lecturer, 2020). The creation of the Jewish state in the Middle East not only ruffle feathers with Palestinians but also neighboring Arab states. Israel was victorious in most cases, winning wars over the Arabs. Israel signed agreed to treaties with Egypt and other Arabic neighbors except for Palestine.
Interestingly, Palestine remained defiant and failed to agree to most treaties, as witnessed in Olso accord and Camp David negotiations. Consequently, the preservation of status quos becomes more pronounced amidst the search for peace between the two conflicting nations. It can be deduced that Palestine leadership (Yasser Arafat) wants the status quo preserved through its nationalistic agenda and terrorism. It is perplexing why Israelite has struck the accord with other neighboring Arab states except for Palestine (Yemini, 2018).

Iran-US hostage crisis arose during the Iran uprising after the takeover by Ayatollah Khomeini from Shah of Iran. The takeover occasioned chaos as arbitrary arrest and execution of supporters of modernity and liberalism which were against Shias ideology. As a result, fifty-two American diplomats and students were taken hosted, resulting in the souring of Iran-USA relationships. Consequently, Ayatollah used the situation to solidify his power and sponsor international terrorism (Lecturer, 2020).
- Why did Al Qaeda Fail after 9/11?
The AL-Qaeda failed after 911 when the whole world united on war against terror. Moreover, the lack of leadership and division on the right course to pursue. Al Qaeda used wrong intentions and strategies that terrorism and propaganda (Lecturer, 2020). Research shows that leadership of A.L. Qaeda has greatly changed since the death of its leaders and eventual fragmentation of the group. Moreover, its regional networks and outfit network, such as ISIS, have been greatly frustrated by anti-terrorism war and agencies. Besides, anti-terror policies and the increasing rejection of violent jihadism by the Muslim world has contributed to the failure of Al-Qaida (Celso, 2014).
