Why I Picked Gay Marriage Topic
The issue of same-sex marriage has been eliciting a lot of reactions concerning its legality and morality. Some states have legalized this type of wedding, but the citizens appear uncomfortable with the decision. Most religions do not agree with it and term it as evil. The supporters of this marriage regard it as a way to promote equality and respect for human rights. The opponents of these relationships, on the other case, have cited moral and religious issues. Most of the opinions given appear varied, and it is hard to decide on the best approach.
Although same-sex marriage has become rampant in many nations, the action is still weird among most cultures. Those who get in those engagements are still discriminated against and seen as social misfits. The question of morality has not been solved by legalizing the marriage. The question remains to be a big issue, especially among the conservative people. Balancing between the legal and moral aspects of this type of marriage has been very hard. Marriage has always been viewed as a trivial matter seen as a source of happiness, prestige, and emotional satisfaction, majority of people agree with the importance of marriage as a source of joy but still, disapprove of gay marriages. The issue that emerges from this behavior is whether people are genuine about their hate of gay marriages or are pushed by stereotypes and other cultural beliefs. In some states, gay people are given legal licenses of marriage but end up living a very sorrowful life due to social discrimination.
I am looking forward to discussing how the gay marriage issue should be approached both legally and socially.
