Written and Oral communication in public policy
Communication can be spread through word of mouth or message depending on the sender and receiver. However, oral communication is better than written since it is fast, efficient, and the receiver gets it in first hand. Public Policy is the rules, regulations, and guidelines that are formulated by the government for the people.
Written and oral communication can be used in the analysis of public policies to the general population (Dunn, 2015). The government formulates specific rules that are then communicated to the public for sensitization. Written communication involves the use of newspapers, messages, and billboards that can be used to spread the word on public policy.
There are many people who read daily newspapers and thus can get the word easily. Consequently, billboards along the highway is an excellent opportunity to spread the public policy message. Oral communication involves direct speaking which can be done in public gatherings for instance, churches, schools, and any other relevant meetings. Government officials at the local level are responsible for spreading public policy issues to the people.
