Conservation of Heritage in Macao
Macao’s cultural conservation came to book in 1976, where now governing legislation concerning heritage preservation was heightened[1]. The interesting is that, even before such laws were introduced, the Macao government had already discovered the treasure that the place sat on. Therefore there had been the formulation of cultural heritage conservation. So, through the Urban Environmental law regarding Macao’s Cultural heritage, some properties and sites became published under such protective law. Later on, in 1984, the Macao’s government came on board to issue new regulations that were more accurate than the 1976 ones since they had a clear definition as well as categorization concerning specific stipulation measures of the cultural heritage[2]. Every step that Macao government has used amid its heritage conservation possesses a top-down kind of policy which has an association with Portugal’s heritage movements which operated from 1992 to date[3].
Macao’s Cultural Heritage Classification
Despite having laws that conserve its heritage, Macao having a wide range of cultural heritage acts as an integral part related to its historic settlement, thus calling for its preservation from the urban settings to its architectural legacies. As a way of maintaining the specific preservation, the Macao government has come up with mechanisms that ensure its cultural heritage observes long term adherence to the law. One has been engaging the communities in cultural activities to keep the heritage alive and as well to make them meaningful by maintaining the place’s original spirit[4]. Also, Macao’s preservation of its cultural heritage has some connections with art and cultural sensations shaping the unique and culturally rich Macao’s identity, thus providing the city with an intense attraction and charisma. According to [5] The following classification reflects the four categories imposed by the Macao’s law to ensure ultimate protection; Classified complexes, classified sites, architectural buildings, and monuments. As a way of getting to know the places under protection by the Macao’s laws, ‘Protected Area’ is the common term, especially for the classified heritage. Some of the classified sites include the Barra and Guia hills; Classified complexes include some buildings along the Almeida Riberio Avenue; architectural buildings include the Moorish Barracks and Military Club, and lastly, the monuments include fortresses, temples, and churches.
Ways of Conserving the Cultural Heritage
Promotion of the Cultural Heritage
Macao’s government has, in recent years, indulged in creating and promoting awareness among its people regarding its heritage awareness. According to [6] The promotion process has borne fruits since most people in the region understand the importance of cultural preservation as they promote locally related activities concerning such awareness. The government has formulated communication as the primary medium for passing the information with their target age group being the young generation. The reason for focusing upon the Young Macao’s residents mainly involves in inducing them with the knowledge that will help the youths also to cooperate with other channels such as private organizations and community-based groups to promote the city’s heritage[7]. Through such interventions, the general public has come out in large numbers through participating in the conservation of their heritage as the government establishes close contacts to the international community as one way of putting Macao’s heritage in the world limelight.
Participating in National Conferences
Therefore, as [8] asserts, Macao has been engaging and participating in events such as major conferences like in 2001 when they participated in a conference with Modern Asian Architecture Network whose main aim was to oversee how cultural heritage can be maintained. As well, they have been involved in various UNESCO meetings in Bangkok where they can communicate with other delegates from different parts of the world, thus gaining more knowledge and ideas regarding heritage conservations[9]. Also, through such delegation meetings, the representatives can create awareness of Macao’s heritage with its specific unique characters to other countries, which can result in sustainable cultural tourism, thus raising Macao’s economy.
Educational Programs
At a local level, the heritage conservation is achieved through educational programs such as research competition for Macao’s cultural heritage and history, exhibitions through art creation and artistic performances such as Macao Music Festivals[10]. After realizing the effectiveness of schools and colleges in promoting and creating awareness of Macao’s culture, the Heritage Conservation Year got launched where all citizens, students, and teachers would participate. Therefore, educational programs seem to be a great strategy in making the cultural heritage of Macao a long- term conservation since most generations will learn, promote and appreciate its heritage, thus posing fewer risks of the heritage diminishing.
Challenges Concerning Cultural Conservation
The major challenges that have been associated with cultural heritage conservation include; fire instances and gambling. Just like most cultural heritage, Macao has been in the limelight of the world as a tourist attraction site due to its attractive and unique heritage. Just like any other sector, cultural heritage conservation has been undergoing challenges such as fire, leading to the destruction of the facilities. For instance, a St. Paul ruin which was destroyed by fire has never been rebuilt despite it being in the urban area leading to urban landscape alteration[11]. The other issue facing Macao’s heritage conservation regards the increased level of gambling, which now surpasses Las Vegas. In such instances, the cities have been exposed to densification which also questions urban landscape, and as well they alter the original meaning of other monuments to be seen as just mere pseudo-heritage[12]. As well, such instances result in the alteration of the cultural heritage’s artistic and historical value, thus requiring quick interventions.
It is evident that the government of Macao has a great agenda in ensuring that its country’s heritage is preserved by all means possible. Through the laws amendment and incorporating promotion and awareness strategies, the government is determined to ensure that at no day that Macao’s culture will vanish into thin air. As well, incorporating education programs regarding the cultural heritage will ensure that the information is passed from generation to generation, thus minimizing its chances of diminishing. The only thing that requires quick intervention and formulation of mitigation measures involves calamities such as fire and the gambling challenge. Through such measures, Macao is assured that its heritage will maintain its artistic and historical value, thus ceasing from being seen as pseudo-heritage.

Taiwan Industrial Platforms and ISO Standards
According to TSMC (2020), in the wake of technology advancement globally, Taiwan presents various technology platforms such as Automotive Electronics platforms, which mainly deals with transportation, which considers coming up with both hybrid and electric vehicles amid curbing environmental problems. Also, high- performance computing platform is also part of the technology which aims at providing businesses with 5G applications and business Artificial Intelligence to boost business productivity. IoT platform aims at providing technology users a revolutionized technology, especially with smart homes and cities, to ensure market growth with the fusion of AI, IoT, and 5G networks to boost the market growth. The Taiwan Mobile platform is also an essential platform due to its extensive usage in our daily lives.
To ensure quality standards in all Taiwan industries, some of the ISO standards that an IT organization needs to have includes the ISO 27000 series such as ISO 27018, ISO 22301 and ISO 27001 (CertPRO, 2019). Also, there are standardized ISO that any industry requires, which includes ISO 9001, which stands for quality management, ISO 45001 that stands in for safety and occupational health management, and ISO 14004, which helps a company in dealing with environmental management systems. All these standard ISO helps the company to save its resources. As for now, the ISO standards that are in high demand for the IT industry include ISO 9001, ISO 2700, and ISO 10002 that deals with customer handling.
