Islam in India is identified as the second-largest religion
Response 1
Islam in India is identified as the second-largest religion in India, and this makes India be the country with the largest Muslim population outside Muslim-majority nations (Singh, 2018). I agree with the author Hindustani culture Islam has a significant influence on different activities and beliefs in India. There is a notable distinction between the cultures in North India and those of South India. However, at the South, the artists are regarded to be superior about their capability to showcase the different religious rituals better to represent the community adequately. Between the South and North, there is a significant cultural gap that exists, and it is best presented between various art forms (Singh, 2018). For example, the author highlights the South prefers to use their music in their religious practises, which can be considered to be disrespectful by other cultures. In summary, Muslim diversity culture is presented by different art forms which are incredible.
Response 2
South Indian culture has placed much emphasis on vocals (Fisher, 2017). I agree with the author; South India culture is best celebrated with the numerous music compositions presented by different artists all over the region. Much of the music is in celebration of the religion of the Southern people. In the South thee has not been much change in the kind of music sung, commonly the main lines are sung are rhythmic. Thus, the Southern Indians are keen to prefer playing different notes together to establish the rhythm. The violin is the primary instrument used to present South culture (Fisher, 2017). However, the music in the North is different. This is attributed to the changes witnessed in the Northern culture and various artists’ preference to speak on the difference in the cultures. In summary, cultural influence plays a significant role in music played by various artists who are in the community. Religion is the primary contributor to cultural differences between North India and South India.
