Write how he became the head boy in school and how he took leadership

When I was in my primary classes in school, I always helped my classmates with any help they wanted.  From helping them with studies, class notes, I always assisted them. I maintained good academics records from primary classes as I was focused on studies. In our school, head boys were chosen based on academics records. And so, with the start of my secondary classes, I was selected as the head boy. This opened more opportunities for me to help my fellow mates.

As I started to grow, a powerful instinct started to work that gave me an interest in helping others. With this instinct, I extended my support outside my school. During my holidays, I loved spending time in my father’s NGO organization, Sankalp, that offered educational help to the kids of servants and maids in our area. From a tender age, I loved visiting the NGO with my father, and from there, my father inspired me to learn how helping others can help me understand things better.

During our library classes, I started to help my students in different subjects. With whatever knowledge I had, I try to help students. Long back in my third standard, I formed a KG1 children club as part of our class group activity. I motivated my junior friends to plant trees, stop wastage of water, and stop using crackers. As a result of this, teachers complimented that by these activities, I can influence others. This is what gave me the interest and idea to help my fellow mates. This mainly worked for some of my friends who were unable to cope up with classwork and group activities.

During our free periods in school, I used to sit with them with the idea of helping them with their studies. I also took the lead in different inter-school debate competition that gave me the courage to lead others.

As I indulged in spending my summer holidays in NGOs, helping needy children, I started to inspire and encourage my classmates to get involved in similar tasks. Assisting the students at NGO and helping them learn some basic concerns like watering plants, helping with table and eating manners, and making them understand the importance of water and avoiding its wastage helped me inspire and influence others. Slowly, many of my friends started to follow my path, and three of them also visited my father’s organization often to help the little children. Helping people to overcome challenging hurdles helped me took leadership in many phases of my life.
