Moral relativism
Moral relativism is a theory that states that there is no existence of comprehensive set of moral fundamentals. This concept explains that the morality of a situation is justified in regard to the relative frame of reference. Something can be relatively morally right to one person and to another relatively morally wrong depending on what they choose to base their ideas on. There are two types of moral relativism which are cultural relativism and individual relativism. Cultural relativism simply explains that there are different cultural practices in the society and every culture has its own way of perceiving, thinking, feeling and reacting to various situations. the cultural behaviors are passed on from generation to generation, therefore, they can exist as long as possible. It is the reason why people behave so differently around the word for example, they eat and dress different. On the other hand, individual relativism which is also known as subjectivism, is when an individual believes that commitment to morality depends on beliefs that are thought to be right at a personal level rather than on the cultural beliefs of the same individual. In my opinion, I think moral relativism is right because the virtue of morality differs in every society, every individual has the right to behave in any manner that pleases them and that generally, there are no universal moral customaries that applies to everyone everywhere.
