MEDITATION VIDEO REVIEW: THE FLY
I enjoyed watching this video because I learned a precious lesson from it. From the animation, a man is meditating, and a fly disturbs his peace. He becomes irritated and takes out his sword and cuts the fly only for it to form another, and in no time, he is dealing with a swarm of flies. It’s until he calms down and starts seeing the flies as tiny petals, that the flies stop becoming a nuisance, and a beautiful world opens up for him. It is the same case in our lives. Every day, we encounter people or things that disturb our peace of mind. However, when we deal with such things with aggression or anger, we only end up creating more problems and harm for ourselves. When we change how we calmly see things and approach situations, then we change our world entirely into something beautiful. Learning to control our minds is very important because then, we do not let our environment dictate our actions.
