Bringing IOT into Organization Change Management
Generally, some people do not like change because it can bring confusion into one’s familiar and enjoyable life. Basically, change can make one rethink what were previously routine action that required no new thought. Some people choose to be resistant to particular changes which may sometimes not good because it may make one not to be successful but again changes may not be avoided because the world is dynamic. Changes need one to be skilled because it is unavoidable when over a time things changes. When changes come apparently people will have to shift to new roles. Basically, IOT transformation brings an opportunity for one to rethink about products, services as well as development from the ground up. With IOT anything can be a good opportunity ready to be traversed to a new one (Kranz, 2017) Similarly the best thing about IOT is the disclosure of the linked up software and hardware economy whereby IOT creates a big demand for software. Generally, IOT has come out with changes and also results of global forces that bring change.
With IOT, one implements a solution as well as a technology, and a change in business processes. When dealing with IOT, one should think about business processes which will undergo change and therefore there will be changes in technology, solutions and even partners. The most significant thing is the effects caused by the business change and maybe the transformation of business. Consequently, when approaching IOT people should first think about the changes in the business processes and also about the transformation needed in the management and this is just before they execute any technology. Notably, Building the Internet of Things technology in the circumstances of the current business process or not transforming the business processes to put up with the combination of new technology. Importantly in the first IOT project, the significant thing is to hope for a win and also at the same time put an organization at risk with IOT enterprise.
