Mariame Haidara – Biography
Mariame Haidara is an author, model, fashion designer, and entrepreneur based in Columbus, Ohio. Born and raised in Guinea Conakry, Africa, until she was 18 years old, Mariame moved to the states bearing a nudging dream of becoming an entrepreneur. While running the isles as a model, Mariame noticed the stereotypical misrepresentation of African wear. This marked the birth of a prolific entrepreneurial journey decorated with creativity, proudly showcasing her innovative designs of the beautiful African Ankara patterns to the world.
In 2011, Mariame was acclaimed with an award for the best outfit during the Miss Guinea USA pageantry. In 2012, the Miss Guinea USA pageant scooped the award clad in apparel that Mariame designed, and in 2017, she was nominated and lionized with The Best Young Entrepreneur Award. Her book, How To Be An Entrepreneur exudes inspiration and optimism through experiences derived from Mariame’s experiences while giving valuable guidance and motivation to people who want to pursue entrepreneurship.
