Social unrest, discrimination, and inequality in a society is a behavior that has negative consequences for a large number of people. There is a behavior that needs to be addressed.
Social unrest happens as a result of collective dissatisfaction and sometimes violent behavior that disrupts society’s social order. Social unrest can be resolved by plans that should be implemented around employees and their families. As part of the effort, the enterprise should
- Maintain close communication with local and state law enforcement.
- Coordinate response plans, which include police medical and private sector.
- conduct threat analysis and consequences that may arise due to the threat
- Review insurance coverage that will ensure the proper limit
- Ensure all the emergency communication equipment is working and have all instruction on how to use them
- Establish and implement these emergency communication systems
- Establish safe areas within the facility where people may assemble to seek refuge
- Develop means in which society people will update about the state law enforcement
- Develop an evacuation plan if relocation from the business is necessary
- Estimate the need to use auxiliary forces
Preparing for any crisis or emergency is a shared responsibility within a society and an organization.
