Impact of AI in the Music industry

Music is the medicine of the mind. We all must protect the music industry. The introduction to Artificial Intelligence is a debate that each stakeholder has to ensure that the sector is being preserved. Currently, the discussion on the negative impact of Artificial intelligence to music is over (Sterne 2020). The use of AI has consistently influenced the music industry. From other sectors, the use of AI automates services, the discovery of patterns and development of numerous data sets, and improves efficiencies in each stage of music production. The music companies have to accept the great importance of the AI abilities to transform the music videos.

According to the McKinsey report, AI catapults the overall growth of the music industry. About 70% of the music companies have adopted AI in music production, and more have the target of 2030 to incorporate in their daily music recording (David 2020). The Music Box has mini computer software that helps the five-year-old daughter in her regular classwork and music lessons (Sterne 2020). The music box contains “critters” that act as noodles of the music box. The coding language of python has programmed the critters. Each critter has been functioning to administer and display. A music Icon knows as Scott Cohen always had the vision that the future of the music industry was through the eyes of technology (Polansky 1994). He stated in a conference that for every ten years, the music industry would be killed by something and gave an example of the tech world. In the current tech-music world, AI has been used to sort the many new tracks uploaded in Spotify and deliver the listeners recommendations. The music genre is no longer a priority on the musicals, but more is the production of good music.

Artificial intelligence has been used to create music. Alan Turing first manufactured a computer recording instrument. The entre computer filed the whole floor of the lab in New Zealand, but as years past and improvement of technology, scientists are making more straightforward gadgets to record music. Through reinforcement abstract learning AI has been able to categorize the patterns and algorithms of the music programs (Polansky 1994). It is through Ai that producers can compose creative musical numbers through the combination of musical elements. The music industry should be partnering with tech companies such as Google in the utilization of programs. For example, the Magenta project o google enables musicians to produce music through Flow machines. One of the songs created through AI is the song named “Daddy’s Car.”

The art of Audio Mastering is improving every day with AI. Services such as LANDR are proving to better options than human-based mastering, and more musicians are drawing from the benefits of the AI (David 2020). The programs and services are being accessible, especially for musicians who would not access other human-based programs. It is through AI that the music industry is continuously identifying the upcoming artist and also a channel of marketing and promoting music. The audio-on-demand is slowly accessible to a vast population of listeners (David 2020).AI is reducing the expenses that musicians have to incur during the identification of listeners. The future of music is through the adoption of AI in each critical step of the industry.
