The Renaissance
Several fascinating periods have happened in history. However, the Renaissance in Italy remains one of the greatest periods that history has ever recorded. The renaissance that happened during the 15th and 16th centuries involved outstanding artistic and architectural innovations and inventions that have remained significant, several years after the period. The renaissance period remains an important field of study due to various reasons. The period brought about ideas, which have since then kept humankind engaged, and the world today depends on several concepts that were realized during the renaissance period.
First, the Renaissance brought about the benefit of continuous innovation. Although the period occurred several years before the scientific innovations, leaders of that time appeared innovative and foresighted. Problems were subjected to innovative methods of problem-solving with ideas being drafted into artistic paintings. The ideas that were painted during the Renaissance period have formed the basis for the present day inventions.
Secondly, the renaissance came with a clever idea of developing inspiration from looking at the past. The ideas developed during the renaissance period were borrowed from the activities of the past. Scholars, artists and architects used the knowledge from their ancestors to develop ideas that were useful for the 15th and 16th centuries. Innovations that were developed from prior knowledge have stood up to date and have remained iconic.
Thirdly, an idea of the connection that exists between the past, present, and the future was developed during the Renaissance period. Innovations that were made were based in knowledge from the past, aimed at solving the problems of the period and leaving a legacy for the future. The principle of using the past as a basis to build the present in the preparation of a future has existed since the Renaissance period.
