A Graduate Degree in Criminal Justice
The rate of criminal activities has been rising day in day out. The society has been complaining of the menace, although no active efforts appear to be providing a solution. The criminal justice system needs reforms that will save the community from the crime disaster. My desire to acquire a graduate degree in Criminal Justice is associated with my passion for changing the way the crime issue is addressed in society. The inclusion of straight-thinking leaders in the criminal justice system will play a crucial role in society, and my goal is to become one of the leaders.
Recent years have witnessed a significant rise in the rate of criminal activities in the society. However, the increase has not been matched by similar efforts to address the emerging issue. The efforts in place have proved ineffective since people have continued suffering at the hands of criminals who walk scot-free after committing the heinous acts (Walker & Maddan, 2019). Generally, society needs reforms in the criminal justice system to curb the ever-increasing cases of crime. The reforms can only come if straight-thinking leaders are chosen to head the criminal justice system. A degree in criminal justice is essential in the development of straight-thinking leaders needed in the system. Therefore, I have decided to pursue my dream degree to become helpful to society.
Moreover, I have always looked for an opportunity to improve my community actively. One of the opportunities to enhance a community is to make everyone feel safe. When the community is safe, other activities such as economic development is faced with fewer or no challenges. My dream is to actively get involved in the development of my community by addressing the issue of criminal injustices.
I am looking forward to becoming involved in coming up with policies to address the ever-increasing criminal cases in society. The involvement in the criminal justice system requires one to have an educational background in criminal studies. A degree in criminal justice will, therefore, go a long way in helping me to get access to the criminal justice system.
Victims of criminal injustices and former offenders are the people to give attention, while addressing criminal injustices. Former offenders require rehabilitation, while victims need advice on the process of obtaining justice. Such aspirations can only be achieved by obtaining skills in the relevant fields. A degree in criminal justice will help me in developing systems that will benefit both victims and offenders. Generally, I aim to aid in reducing the number of criminal cases as much as possible and in the shortest time possible.
In sum, the inclusion of straight-thinking leaders in the criminal justice system will play a crucial role in society, and my goal is to become one of the leaders.
