A product is any object that can be offered to a market
A product is any object that can be offered to a market to satisfy customer needs and desires. At the same time, service is considered to be work provided by an individual or a team expertly to benefit its customers. They both differ in various ways. For example, products are tangible, enabling customers to touch, see, smell, and feel them. As for services, they are intangible; hence they cannot be measured, inspected, or weighed, making it difficult to connect to the consumer. Another difference between the two comes when comparing quality. It is harder for consumers to check the quality of services offered than the product purchased. For example, if one buys a painkiller that works, the product’s quality is evident, but when a lawyer wins a divorce case, you will not know until you are back in court. It is easier to return a product than a service since it is consumed as it is offered. When a doctor renders his services, and they don’t work out, one cannot return the service. As for a product, if you buy something and realize that it is not in good condition later, one has the choice of replacing it. Lastly, products usually come in many formulations, such as different styles, colors, and sizes compared to services.
Products are the most impactful on my buying decisions since it is easy to check their quality and return in case of any issues. For example, the Adidas Yeezy brand, which is a partnership between German sportswear and Kanye West, offers good quality sneakers. There is also the Coca-Cola brand, which has existed for years now, and despite other companies trying to copy it, it still wins the hearts of many consumers. The Apple company is also good in manufacturing electronic devices since it provides some of the best quality phones and laptops.
