The Bermuda Triangle has become a place of significant interest across the world. The mystery associated with the area leaves several researchers seeki8ng answers raised by people across the globe. Bermuda Triangle is situated in the Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by the southern coast of the US, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and the Antilles Islands. The exact of the triangle has not been established with certainty because several authors give different estimations for the size of the triangle. The mystery surrounding the area comes with the nature of ship and aircraft disappearances that happen in the area. Various authors have claimed that ships and aircraft have disappeared in the area, and their remains have never been found. Also, different people have associated the area with extraterrestrial powers that are responsible for the losses of the ships and aircraft. The arguments on the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle are based on several unverified information, and thus, the mystery could be created by people for individual gains.
The fact that the Bermuda Triangle is a busy marine area with several marine and air trips means that the mysterious claim may be exaggerated. If the area was as mysterious as many people claim, the area would not be deserted by sea and air travelers (Vale & Rosenberg, 2018). However, the case is different because the area is characterized by the continuous growth of trips across the triangle. The Bermuda Triangle is the deepest spot in the Atlantic Ocean and thus becomes a tourist attraction area. Also, the triangle is preferred by travelers who want to get the feeling of being in a historical area. The argument that the Bermuda Triangle has witnessed more ship and aircraft disappearances could be nullified by the fact that the area receives more ships and aircraft trips that the other areas considered in the comparison. Researchers who argue for the mystery of Bermuda Triangle use statistics and details of the disappearances that have already happened in the area.
Most researchers have relied on the statistics and details of the previous disappearances of ships and aircraft around the Bermuda Triangle. Most of the disappearance cases have ended up with the remains of the lost ships and airplanes not being found (Chauhan, 2016). Generally, people expect that the remains of the wreckages are eventually found to establish the cause of the said accidents. However, the case in Bermuda Triangle has been different. When ships and aircraft disappear in the Bermuda Triangle, their wreckages, as well as the bodies of the passengers aboard, are not found. For example, a Brazilian ship, Collier USS Cyclops disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle in the year 1918. The remains of the vessels were not found, and claims were raised that the ship disappeared mysteriously. Also, another disappearance happened twenty-seven years later when Flight 19 got lost above the Bermuda Triangle, adding to the list of the unexplained cause of disappearances in the area. However, the disappearances are not any different from the other disappearances that happen in the ocean.
Reliance on the details of past disappearance cannot be used as evidence to prove that the Bermuda Triangle is mysterious. Most of the previous disappearances have not been any different from other disappearances in the oceans. Accidents occur at the deep seas and the chances that the remains of the involved ships and aircraft depend on the efforts employed by the responsible bodies. Besides, the fact that details are not proved for the previous accidents does not mean that the remains were not found. For example, the details only rely on the information that was provided after the ships or the aircrafts disappeared. However, the information on whether the involved ships or airplanes were found is not considered. For example, a boat that gets lost after leaving the beach towards the Bermuda Triangle is always reported to have gotten lost. However, the information on whether the vessel is found later or not is not published. Therefore, relying on unverified information to make claims cannot be used to label the Bermuda Triangle as a mysterious area in the Atlantic Ocean. Another argument that could be the reason for viewing the Bermuda triangle as a dangerous spot is an association between the area and natural factors.

First, the strong magnetic fields in the area have been heavily linked with the mysterious disappearances near the point (Mujeebu, 2016). The strong magnetic fields have been associated with compass errors that confuse pilots and captains, leading to errors and, eventually, accidents. The other natural phenomenon associated with the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle is the location of the area. The gulf stream that extends into the Bermuda Triangle is associated with strong surface currents that can quickly sweep away a moving boat or ship with engine problems. The currents make the stream to appear like a moving river inside the ocean, with the water moving at high speed. Also, the violent weather in the area has been responsible for the loss of several lives in the triangle. Generally, the Bermuda Triangle is associated with hurricanes that make trips across the area risky. However, the natural factors do not explain the mystery related to the area, and the Bermuda Triangle is not as mysterious as argued.
The natural factors used by advocates for the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle are not sufficient for the conclusions drawn concerning the area. Most researchers have taken advantage of the high demand for information to provide misleading information concerning the Bermuda Triangle. For example, the claim that the Bermuda Triangle has witnessed the disappearance of several ships is not backed up with sufficient details. The researchers do not explain the specific ships and aircraft. Also, several details are left out by people who argue about the mysterious disappearances. For example, the boundaries of the Bermuda Triangle have been given different estimates by different researchers leading to questions concerning the authenticity of the information. Generally, the Bermuda Triangle is not as mysterious as most people depict it, and the arguments raised are aimed at benefitting people who sell information concerning the area.
