Introduction
A comparison and contrast of people are important in knowing and understanding them. Comparison is the traits that are shared between the individuals, while contrast entails the differences. Notably, comparison and contrast rage from different aspects such as mannerism, attitudes, hobbies, talents, and appearance. A comparison and contrast outline of individuals should be used to get fact files of the people, hence easy to know them in a better way. Nonetheless, differences in individuals do not make them weak subjects. Human beings are inherent and social beings who should contain both the positive and negative attributes of people. It is not wise to develop hate when differences in character traits occur. However, undesirable behaviors can be changed while a character cannot be changed. In the quest to understand the proper understanding of comparison and contrast, this work will carry out an analysis of Maurice and Tyri. Maurice and Tyri are different in their attitude towards smoking marijuana, their eating mannerism, and their preference and taste, but they are best friends at the end of the day.
Maurice and Tyri are different in their attitude towards smoking marijuana. Tyri likes to smoke marijuana, but Maurice thinks it’s bad for him. In this case, the two individuals differ in terms of attitude. One individual’s attitude shows that certain behavior is not desirable. However, the other individual does not see the bad side of the behavior as being mentioned. Thus, the two persons keep each one’s attitude. However, there is a possibility of change one of the outstanding attitude. For instance, Maurice has the highest possibility of changing the smoking habit of Tyri. May Tyri’s passion for smoking marijuana is a result of influence from his other friends.
Maurice and Tyri are different in their eating mannerism. Maurice chews with his mouth open while Tyri chews with his mouth closed. People have different eating mannerisms depending on the habit created since childhood. Despite the closed and open mouth during chewing habits being common in people, the latter is widely considered as bad eating mannerism. People will always complain when those near them chew with open mouths.
Additionally, it is termed a breach of table manners. Hilariously, some people will complain of losing appetite in the presence of people who are chewing with open mouths. Nevertheless, people should refrain from chewing with their mouths open when eating with others since it is a healthy and a point of courtesy towards the other people.
Additionally, Maurice and Tyri differ in their preference and taste. Tyri likes pineapple pizza while Maurice does not like it. Normally, people will show differences and comparisons when it comes to preference and taste for things such as meals. In this case, Tyri’s like is Maurice’s dislike for pineapple pizza. It is important to know different preferences and tastes in others for good socialization. It will be an absurd experience by a close friend to Tyri in buying two pineapple pizza to give the other one to Maurice. That friend assumes that Tyri’s like for pineapple pizza is shared with Maurice since they are friends, which is very wrong.
However, Maurice and Tyri are best friends at the end of the day. Despite the two friends having several differences, they are bound by a common attribute of friendship. People may show acute differences in several aspects; they may be united by a single characteristic. Maurice could have hated Tyri for his undesirable attributes, such as smoking marijuana. On the other side, Tyri could have also hated Maurice for his undesirable characteristics, such as bad eating manners. However, the two are bound by the emotional and social force of friendship.
Conclusion
People have different differences and comparisons, as far as social life is concerned. It is vital to know that some of the things that may be viewed as undesirable to somebody may look desirable by others who share that attribute. Hence, different characteristics should not be a good base for judging others. It is wise to accommodate such personalities for good social relations. Nonetheless, an outline of comparisons and contrast help in understanding persons in a better manner.
