Comparing and/or contrasting either two jobs you have worked
Write a 600-800 word MLA style 3rd person Comparison/Contrast essay draft comparing and/or contrasting either two jobs you have worked or two schools you have attended. There are any number of ways you could approach this assignment. You could write about the job or school itself, or you could talk about the people you encountered. Those are just two examples of ways to think about this. Be creative. I want you to use at least two pieces of support for this essay. This means that you will have TWO in-text citations and a TWO entry on the Works Cited page. Do not use more than two sources for this paper. Additionally, this is an opportunity for you to begin making value judgments regarding your topic. I′d like you to choose which job or school was, in your opinion, better, or more successful, and explain why. Please be sure to explain why you feel this way for either choice. I expect you to have a strong opinion and support it with a good argument. Do not take both sides of this argument. Remember to create a thesis statement and support it with appropriate points. Use two sources only for this essay. They may be from the school or workplace website, but be sure the information is valid and reliable. Write in complete, grammatically and mechanically correct sentences. You must use one in-text citation and have one works cited entry for each source. Remember, the Works Cited page is the final page of your essay, not a separate document. Minimum requirements for this assignment- five paragraphs, 600 words (paragraph text), MLA style. Also, for this draft, include one in-text citation in your essay supporting your argument. Any assignment not meeting any of the minimums will receive a maximum score of 50%. Be sure to submit either a .doc or .docx. No other file format will be accepted. The Safeassign percentage should be below 15% for this paper. This means your paper should be approximately 85% original (not counting the Works Cited page and any quote used).
