Confronting climatic crisis
INTRODUCTION
This paper will discuss ways of confronting climate change globally.it is aimed at reducing hazards which may lead to the changes in the climate. The importance of this paper is that it will analyse some of the causes of climatic changes and how they should be dealt with to conserve the environment for the betterment of human life.
BRIEF OVERVIEW OF CONFRONTING CLIMATIC CRISIS
- There is an argument that reducing the emission of harmful gases and creating awareness on the importance of preserving and maintaining the existing forests will solve the crisis. Such gases include:
- a) Harmful gases
- Carbon iv oxide
- sulphate aerosols
- Methane gas
- Creating awareness
- Planting trees
- Conservation of forestry
- C) Reducing the greenhouse effects.
Main points
#1 I would support the above claims on confronting climatic crisis because once they are attended to, then human life will not in danger for example of contracting diseases such as skin cancer, flooding, shrinking glaciers.
#2 Secondly I tend to agree with the concept that confronting climatic crisis should be in the hearts of many people. This is because issues to do with lack of water, rain shortages, and droughts will not be witnessed and thus economic sectors such agriculture will not be affected in any way.
#1 in a contrary opinion, climatic changes could not be influenced by these factors as we have other changes which take place naturally without being influenced by human activities. For example, some water catchment area will dry up with time as water levels go down and vice versa
#2 Lastly nature has its ways of controlling itself, therefore the above-named factors need not be considered in confronting climatic crisis because the human effort to solve those crises will translate to a very small percentage. Thus we should leave it for nature to control itself as it has that capability.
Our environment should be conserved with all due respects by ensuring that no emission of any harmful substance to the atmosphere. This will ensure that the ozone layer and any other part of the atmosphere are not interfered with hence reducing the chances of negative impacts on human life.
