Please tick () each point to check that your essay outline is complete.

2) The thesis statement is a sentence (it has a subject and a verb).

3) The thesis statement is a positive or a negative sentence, but not a question.

4) Ideas in the outline are divided into paragraphs (at least two main body paragraphs).

5) The essay presents similarities and differences between two countries in the areas of education and work.

6) Each paragraph has at least two supporting points (they could be “detail”, “explanation” or “example”).

7) Each supporting point in each paragraph has more specific supporting information to help develop the paragraph.

8) There is a concluding sentence at the end of the outline (which matches the thesis statement).

9) There is a list of at least 8 reliable sources of information which will be used in the essay (internet links, books, etc.)
