Peter is sitting at the riverbank during a drizzling afternoon. Jane approaches silently noticing peters, who is at the moment concentrating on a leaf being washed away that just fell from the tree.
Jane: I like what I am seeing, should I call this basking? Even the animals from our agriculture department are hiding, such a hydrophobic skin.
Peter: (Shocked lifts his face and turns his head to see who this intruder is. On seeing the familiar face, he resumes to his original position). Jane, can’t you see, in this life people don’t have their way? Sometimes it is better to be away, far away because some situations are to card to say, that’s why I came down here to this allay, to pass another day.
Jane: (now perplexed. Peter’s situation seems worse that she thought to tell me more). Sometimes we need to inform our problems to our own, mostly when we feel alone, you know Am always here for you and I know you had your phone. I cannot leave you here alone, even though you say you got a heart of stone.
Peter: I am sitting on the rain to cry, seeking answers from the sky, about why all my life seems like a lie, at one moment I just wanted to die because heaven doesn’t seem like giving a reply, I thought you would also turn a blind eye,
Jane: (walking closer to peter, covering his head with her umbrella. Now in an empathetic voice). If you let your thoughts overrun your mind, those answers will be hard to find, you should make those thoughts fall behind because the future is not defined, problems should never let humans beings hind because these challenges are just seasonal tides, the sun rises to provide us with light, I have a feeling that your future will shine bright.
Peter: (with his head lowered still). This time things seem to be out of hand, but I know you will even not understand, the politicians know the problems of the poor especially in our land, but this people still choose to bury their heads in the sand, all they do is pretend how much they love their motherland.
Jane: (nodding her head). Am in agreement with your statement, the level of cruelty with our leaders is something I still cannot comprehend, but I know if we people come together, we can put all this menace to an end.
Peter: (now upon his feet). I see you also say the leaders are to blame, i think we should find a way of putting all these people to shame before they transform their behaviour to a game.
Jane: moving her mouth close to peters ears. All you need in tis life is a friend, sometimes in our lowest moments a friend will always be our most significant source of strength because with friends life will always give you as smile at the end, I must say I am impressed because you did not pretend to be well.
Peter: (with a smiley face this time). I will ensure this country becomes the best, before the poor and oppressed rise up to the streets for unrest.
Jane: (The two walking together happily towards the library). In life, we all have to achieve our goals, if there are obstacles, to get rid of these obstacles, we need to define our roles.
