Honesty is a value that almost every individual claim to have. The definition of honesty goes hand in hand with truthfulness in both words and actions. Honesty is associated with several health benefits that individuals seek to have. Remaining truthful saves an individual from leading a stressful life brought by telling lies (Vries & Gelder, 2015). The fear of being caught is common among individuals who thrive through lies. Moreover, leading a stressful life is associated with several health complications such as high or low blood pressure, fatigue, or even weak immunity. Therefore, honesty ensures that individuals lead a stress-free life and hence the safety from the health complications associated with stress. Honesty is also associated with peace of mind.
