Importance of evaluation
Evaluation is the process of checking a plan in an unreliable way. It consists of collecting and analyzing data on activities, characteristics, and results. Its purpose is to make decisions about the program, increase its effectiveness, and provide recommendations for computing solutions (Friedmann, 2014). However, most of them are done in-house and are created for staff and managers. Evaluation tools are the equipment used to complete this process.
One must regularly adjust and evaluate your actions to make sure they are as active as possible. Assessments can help you identify areas to achieve and ultimately help you achieve your goals more effectively. Besides, sharing the results on what worked more or less will help improve environmental intelligence.
The evaluation process allows you to indicate the progress or success of the plan. The information gathered can improve communication about the impact of the plan on others. This requires employee morale, public relations, retention, and appeal from existing and potential colleagues.
Evaluations fall into two broad categories: summary assessments and formation assessments. Formative evaluation is performed during the development and implementation of the plan. If you need guidance on how to achieve your goals or promote your learning strategy, they are witty. The final grade, on the other hand, needs to be completed after the policy has been fully developed and signals the extent to which the plan is aiming to achieve its goals.
Differences in the content between the teacher and administrator evaluation tools
The difference between the two spectrums of evaluation is based on several aspects. The difference is brought about by the focus of the professionals. For instance, teachers believe that the evaluation assists in improving the learning process of the learners while the administrators argue that the evaluation culminates in the improved outcomes of the learners. The improvements in outcomes may be because of changes in the leadership of an organization (Boysen, 2015).
In the teacher case, evaluation aims at identifying the areas that require improvement is students. Evaluation assists administrators to grow as professionals. This is due to the effectiveness of the policies employed in the assessment in improving the performance of the students. Another difference in the evaluation tools is that from a teacher perspective, the tools assist in the formulation of the objectives of the learning processes. In the case of administrators, the evaluation tools provide a guide on the strategies to be employed to achieve particular goals.
The difference in the content is based on the goal of the evaluation tool. Evaluation in the teacher’s case Learner-centered whereby the assessments are made to improve the outcome for the learning process. In contrast, in the case of administrators, the assessment aims at improving the administration aspects of the learning process. It is through this concept that the guidelines for the achievement of particular goals are formulated.
The rationale
The content in the administrator evaluation entails the training progress and the strategies to be employed to achieve the set goals. The administrator may also focus on improving the collaboration between different educators. The administrators focus on administrative roles, such as the formulation of the strategies required in the implementation process. The administrators monitor the action of the educationists, such as the teachers, to ensure that there is a positive progression.
