Nature Conservation Themed Art Proposal

The Joshua Tree National Park is among the most famous parks in America and is situated explicitly in California, east of Los Angeles, and San Bernardino, nearby Palm Springs. Our art project takes up the opportunity of the quarantine period due to the extensive outbreak of coronavirus. It aims at developing virtual tour videos to the Joshua Tree National Park. We will further embrace restoring native tree species in the community by supporting the planting of Joshua trees in the park because they are fundamental for our Project. After all, they are the key tourist attractions in the park. Preservation of Joshua trees will boost beautification of the Park, and therefore our virtual shows will be very marketable. The show will entail live streaming of the park activities and animals as well as the beautiful paintings all over the park so that we adventure all tourists during the lockdown and quarantine period. The most exciting feature in the Joshua Tree National Park is the outlook of painted Joshua trees which are dominant in the Mojave Desert.

During this period, the government has emphasized that people ought to practise social distancing whereby crowds and public places are strictly prohibited. All these measures are meant to curb the spread of the coronavirus because crowded or congested areas pose a risk to human health since contracting the virus is very easy. The most banned adventure places are national museums, theatres, and national parks (Facemire and Challie). We took advantage of the closure of the Joshua Tree National Park to ensure that tourists can usually access the park through virtual basis where we have devised a virtual show named “Joshua Tree National Park Adventure Online.” Our show will be aired daily, and we will compose a series collection of all videos from Monday to Friday which we will air on weekends. Our goal is to provide online video tours of the Joshua Tree National Park to ensure that as people stay connected to the park while at homes and to assure the utmost fun and entertainment during the quarantine period.

The Joshua trees are termed to be making the deserts most beautiful. Thus the population of visitors in the park is cumulative over the previous years and therefore, it has become very prominent globally. The park encompasses various decorations like paintings on the Joshua trees and rocks, and therefore our shows will be very appealing to the public (Groom et al., 2111-2123).  There is a critical distinction between our proposed project and the existing virtual presentations of the Joshua Tree National Park.  The difference is that they mainly focused on airing shows once in a while, especially when tourists visited the park, whereby they aired tourist activities like hiking whereby amongst other actions. Contrary to our project, we aim to support the park management in maintaining a conducive climate so that there is a continuous growth of the plants to intensify habitats for park animals so that the park decorations and leisure or adventure places are increased.

The virtual shows will entertain the viewers because we will air progressive new features in that park since intensifying number of Joshua trees will facilitate more decoration activities which make the virtual show very appealing (Bourtsoulatze et al., 1561-1575). The significance of our project is that it will keep tourists updated on all new features established in the park and thus we will market the park and attract more visitors after the end of the lockdown and quarantine period. Furthermore, our proposed project is supported by the fact that the National park service has not closed park activities or operations and thus apprising park beautifications will be enabled. We target to strengthen our efforts of the continual working with park staff, tourists or visitors, and the community to assure that we efficiently reach as many people as possible to watch our shows. The park staff will help us have unlimited access to the park so that we can make beautiful video contents aiming at marketing their operations for prospect visits to earn much revenue.

Our target community is facing severe climate change threats and contests, particularly in the parks such that supporting plant and animal life is very problematic. This is resultant from the continual issues of emissions of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide have led to an increase in earth temperatures because such gases trap all heat, which would otherwise be emitted to space. The heat is retained below the earth’s atmosphere; hence global temperatures rise rapidly. The rise in temperature widely affects the water cycle; thus, much water is lost to the atmosphere in the form of water vapour (Wagner et al.,). Furthermore, this climate change affects the plant and animal habitations as well as their nourishment.  Specifically, in the Park, the rising temperatures and change of precipitation patterns impact the ecosystems; hence the survival of species in the park is very restricted.

Additionally, Joshua trees and park animals cannot survive in such harsh climatic conditions because of the absence of enough moisture to support either plant or animal life. In such situations, virtual shows will be much undermined because lack of park animals and Joshua trees scare appeals of online adventurers because they seek to watch new high-quality video content of decorations and park animals. After all, Joshua trees are principal in sustaining animal life and growth of new trees. However, we will strive to support the park activities to maintain the growth of Joshua trees to market our videos because utmost satisfaction of online adventurers will improve self-confidence on our shows. They will be rated higher than other shows. We intend to reach all nations in the world by posting videos and sharing notifications of new videos through various social media platforms because, at this time, many people spend time online.

We are envisioned to use the Scalable Video Strategy in making our videos because it is cheap and produces high-quality video content which boosts engagement of viewers and thereby attracting new people to watch. Our strategies will be as follows. Firstly, we will strengthen our video strategy by ensuring that the video complies with our objective of delivering adventure content of Joshua Tree National Park trees and hiking mountains to ensure that people in quarantine get entertained while in homes (Jiang et al.,). However, our project targets to provide video content regarding the Joshua Tree National Park attraction features through social media. We choose social media because many people spend time on social media platforms searching for entertainment content. The course of creating awareness of the video shows in the community will entail making ads to educate the audience about the relevance and value of the Joshua Tree National Park.

Moreover, we will associate with the Park management so that they help us market our shows by posting our content on their official website, which is readily accessible to many people globally. Marketing our website will direct more online users to our official channel because they will be thrilled to watch more video content of our shows. Furthermore, our project is meant to help in ensuring that people are not bored while in quarantine by providing a video content of entertainment by adventuring the Joshua Tree National Park through phones which are commonly available in the community (Zhong et al.,). We will achieve this by creating high-quality content. Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube and are mostly used globally than broadcasting Television channels which are mainly used by the current video shows of an adventure of the park.

Additionally, these platforms are very cost-effective, and the content is readily available and accessible by all people who have internet access on their phones. Broadcasting adventure shows are expensive because nowadays people like being on social media than buying televisions or even watching them. As mentioned earlier, our videos will be a live-action because we will explicitly make videos in the national park, and thus users will have confidence in our shows.

Conclusively, live-action is more entertaining during the quarantine period because people are locked in their houses and have no access to the park. However, making live videos makes them feel as if they are physically in the park.
