This is a firm offering services such as a review of plan permits, property management, management of constructions, engineering, and architecture. The corporation is a stand out because of one Niranjan Shah, who is the CEO. Below is a brief highlight of Niranjan Shah is not only an entrepreneur but also a philanthropist.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Niranjan Shah was born and raised in India and moved to the United States of America in 1970. It is in the USA where he earned a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi. He also has management training from Harvard University
FOUNDING GLOBETROTTERS.
In 1974, four years after moving to the USA, he co-founded the Globetrotters Engineering Corporation. He has grown the company to the tune of having 250 employees and wining lots of lucrative projects.
PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN BY GLOBETROTTERS
Under the stewardships of Niranjan Shah, Globetrotters have done many projects that include highways, pipelines, railroads, harbors, airfields, etc. the projects are also extended to other countries like Indonesia and the Philippines. Most notable projects include;
- The deep tunnel
- Redevelopment of the Midway International Airport.
- Design and expansion of McCormick Place.
PHILANTHROPIC ACTIVITIES
Niranjan Shah has been involved in charities and supporting organizations across the globe. Some of the organizations supported by him include; Leading India’s Future Today abbreviated as LIFT, Sister Cities International, and the Shah center at McHenry County. He has also served in various boards like the Illinois board of reagents to offer his expertise in management.
AWARDS AND HONORS
His work has not gone unrecognized. In 1994 then the US president Clinton honored Niranjan Shah by delegating him to Goldwater Foundation of Excellence in Technical Education. In 2006 he received the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award from the Government of India. He is also a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
It is no doubt that Niranjan Shah has exhibited greatness professionally as an engineer, in management as CEO, and in giving back to society as a philanthropist.
