Nursery Rhymes
Learning and singing the rhymes increases the level of confidence of young kids. Rhymes are tools for keeping young children occupied, thus keeping them away from costly equipment. Sadly, the kindergarten rhymes are currently vanishing from the lives of our little kids. The nursery rhymes are being substituted with electronic games and gadgets like laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. Most parents emphasize science and mathematics and neglect the nursery rhymes as they perceive that they are not essential for the young kid. These rhymes are very crucial for kindergarten children as they assist in different aspects of children’s growth and development. This paper shall discuss how the nursery rhymes have impacted one’s life, why we still remember these rhymes and relevant lessons that are learned from nursery rhymes.
Impacts of Nursery Rhymes on my Life
kindergarten rhymes contained a stylish literary device that reinforced us to learn more about the tone, volumes, and, most importantly, the patterns of a language. Through pre-school rhymes, I can relate well with people. My communication skills have been improved as I do recognize the changes and variations of the human voice. While singing the rhymes in the nursery, I noticed that one’s voice seemed to be different when asking questions and when explaining a specific situation. Therefore, through these rhymes, my communication has been enhanced, and thus I can relate well with people
learning the verses from nursery school have broadened my mind. I am a creative individual a lot of ideas and this has enabled me excel in different areas especially in my education path. This is because nursery rhymes create phonological awareness, which allows one to read. Understanding phonemes reinforces the kid’s ability to hear and combine sounds to encode and decode words correctly. Nursery also rhymes foster children’s ability to spell the words correctly and learning about the sequence of the letters, thus improving the kids reading skills. Kindergarten rhymes create a secure connection between the kid’s new knowledge and the aspects of their linguistic advancement later. Therefore, through the verses, I was able to read, which made me excel well academically.
The nursery rhymes have boosted my confidence. I have high esteem and much courage. This has been enhanced by the songs which we used to recite in the class while we were young. Singing in nursery schools created a forum for every kid, even the shy kids would feel confident while reciting the rhymes because they were easy to understand, and it was fun to perform them. Currently, I can make public speeches confidently due to the courage that was impacted on me while still young through nursery rhymes.
Why I Remember Nursery Rhymes and Lessons Learned from Them.
I still remember my nursery rhymes because they were easy to memorize due to their musicality and repetitive words. I also remind them because it was one of the exciting activities we were doing together with our teacher. Everybody was allowed to recite his or her favorite rhyme while the rest of the kids were watching. This used to be so enjoyable dancing and performing your best song in the class; thus, no one can forget such an experience.
One of the lessons which I have learned from the pre-school rhymes is persistence, patience, and not giving up. This lesson has enabled me to overcome several obstacles to life. At first, it was not easy to learn the song, and every kid sang the rhymes wrongfully, but with a lot of patience from our teacher, we came to understand the verses, and we sang them perfectly. When kids are willing to know anything, they do not give up, no matter the situation.
