Political-Military Strength of Power
The civil war in china resulted due to a lack of structured government, which put the whole country in chaos. The government was being controlled by warlords and the revolutionary army that controlled different parts of China. This led to economic problems that affected the Chinese people. In his effort to provide solutions to their problems, Sun Yat-sen lacked military back up to support his plans of instilling democracy in china. He came up with an idea of forming a task force that would take on the mantle of success by continuously persisting in the goals of the revolution. He led to the establishment of a superior army academy that was named Whampoa military academy. Formation of the Whampoa military academy originated from models drawn from the experiences of the Russian revolution military called the Red Army. Their main aim was to create a revolutionary army that would save China from extinction, free people from oppression, and prevent the ill acts from the Manchu dynasty. They suffered from unequal treaties, financial crises, and refuge problems. Sun Yat-Sen did not hesitate to tell his people that for the revolution goals to be realized, it was vital to become a member of a revolutionary army and party. One had to have a powerful revolution resolve and will from the heart to eradicate bad thoughts and habits, but also embrace humanity and righteousness. However, they were constrained by their internal weakness, foreign military force, and the Chinese government was under continued chaos. This did not stop them, and as the years went by, the Whampoa academy kept growing stronger.
Sun died before achieving his goals, but his follower and a counterpart leader of Whampoa military academy took on the role to accomplish what Sun had started. By that time, an opposing party of communists emerged. Chiang Kai-shek, who took over after Sun’s death, wiped out the communist party to pave the way for his success. Luckily, Mao, the leader of communists, survived the attack. Chiang’s losing his focus while in his efforts fighting communists. This led the Chinese people to lose their interest in him while drugging them back. He stated manslaughter in his ideals of keeping communities out of power, but after a period of time, Chiang was exiled, and Mao Tse-tung became the new ruler of the newly formed Communist government of China. Mao was instrumental in rebuilding the community party after Chiang wiped it out, where he managed to survive. Mao’s regime would not have survived as he had tried to be in power during his challenge with Chiang. Their efforts turned into their own interest in power, which made Chinese people Ito mistrust them. However, as part of a long journey, painful process in their demands for social justice and the desire for collective identity helped to bring increased numbers of people into the political process. More parts of society became radicalized, and everything turned in favor of Chinese people’s interests. Above all, the Guomindang and the Chinese Communist Party emerged from this movement as newly legitimate National representatives of China’s future.
