Pregnancy at week 35
Introduction
Pregnancy is the time during which progeny develops in a woman’s womb. Healthy pregnancy takes 38 weeks when measured from fertilization time. Gestation divides into three trimesters; the first one includes conception whereby the sperm fertilizes the egg. In the second stage, movement can some changes happen to the body of the mother. The third trimester is the last stage of pregnancy; it occurs between weeks 29 and 40. Our focus here is on the third trimester of the pregnancy at week 35.
Baby’s growth and development
During 35 weeks of pregnancy, the baby’s growth is usually progressing rapidly as the date of birth draws near. The baby gains at least a half a pound a week as the days proceed. The baby’s brain continues to advance quickly. Week 35, the baby is the length of 18 inches from head to toe. The baby continues to gain significant weight in the shoulders. At this stage, the baby has settled in a head-down position in the mother’s pelvis. It happens mostly in the first pregnancy of a mother.
Change of body at 35week of pregnancy
The mother’s body continues to make internal adjustments and preparations for birth a few weeks. The cervix might already dilate very slightly to get ready for delivery. When the uterus begins to widen, sharp pain is felt in the vagina. However, it doesn’t suggest that the mother is if labor pains. During this period, some contractions are felt, which never settle to a regular pace.At this stage a pregnant woman might experience some physical changes .Some of them include swelling of ankles ,fingers and face,when this condition persist for long the mother should seek medical attention since it could be a serious condition. Other physical changes are tender breast which may leak watery colostrum and the belly may also protrude.
Nutrition at week 35 of pregnancy
At this stage eating balanced diet is very important .The size of the baby is ussualy compressing the gastric cavity hence causing heart-burn, indigestion, and nausea. Most mothers prefer having frequent smaller meals to avoid this condition .Drinking adequate fluids is highly recommended since it prevents constipation and also maintains circulatory volume in anticipation of the labor work. The mother should also feed on diet rich in calcium, iron, and protein. Calcium helps the baby grow health heart,nerves and muscles as well as in developing normal heart rhythm. Proteins help the baby in growth and repairing of damaged tissue .Making antibodies for the immune system and making hormones and enzymes.
Symptoms at week 35
During week 35 the mother experiences heartburn and bloating,uterus is usually crowding other internal organs hence causing heart-burn and other gastrointestinal disorders. The mother may feel clumsier than normal, due to the concentration of weight on her pregnancy belly causing shift in her center of gravity. Feeling bored is another symptom where by the mother gets tired of being pregnant during this stage .Pregnancy can become tedious at this stage.
Physical activities and exercise at week 36
Most mothers realize that they need to give themselves a break from most activities during this stage. A brisk walk, yoga class, homework, swim, or jog increases blood flow and boost feel good endorphins .Physical activities help the mother sleep better and prevent daytime fatigue. Weight training increases muscle tone and also prevents bone loss .Lifting can spike the mothers blood pressure for some short period .Light weight s and more reps is advisable at this week .
Preparation during week 35
This is the best time for preparation of delivery day. There are various methods the mother can prepare for the big day. Discussing plans for delivery day with the doctor, partner and, family members to make sure they know the mothers preferences about self-management methods are usually important.The mother can also discuss about her your caretaker while shes is still in the hospital. The mother can start practicing relaxation techniques to ease tension of the body and prepare for delivery .The mother can also prepare the baby’s clothes and blankets in the wash to remove any irritants in the fabric.

Pregnancy stages are unlike any other time in life of a mother .These stages are full of new experiences, great uncertainties and many new emotions. Getting regular care and precautions during these stages is very vital to the health of the mother and the baby.
