Developing visual displays of related categories. The graphic form of categorically organizing of information. Based on the evaluation and creation of learners’ background knowledge. Encourages learners to use their technics to produce their creations.

Students brainstorming by searching key words related to a topic in a circle through integrating new information with prior knowledge.

Reading comprehension
Visualizing
Students can create an image in their head of what they are reading. Using imagination to create pictures and videos in the head centred on their background knowledge. The created mental images allow deeper comprehension through image connections and better recall.
Get a sense of characters in a story setting. Students create a mental image of where they are and what they hear, smell, see, feel and taste.
Descriptive words are used to write what is visualized using five senses.
Students can point out words that helped them create a mental picture and compare their words with those of their peers.

The learning responsibilities are moved to the student from the teacher. Supports students into becoming independent learners from dependent learners. The teacher exploits the potential for students to take on new phonics by creating authentic contexts and using the original text. The student learns, applies and demonstrates new phonics skills.
