Setting up of Senior Citizen Facilitation Centre in four districts of HP
Himachal Pradesh has come up with the plan of facilitation center aiming for senior citizens. It will be started in four districts in HP. The centers will offer nursing help along with Ayurvedic care. In addition, skill development center will also come up through which the senior citizens can offer guidance to the youth.
Also, Education minister Suresh Bhardwaj stated that he wanted to discuss on different development issues with Ayurvedic and the agriculture department. In addition, education minister stated that it is aiming for successful implementation of Swarnim Himachal Drishtipatra-2017 at the earliest.
What are the facilities to be started?
- Starting Ayush University to offer facilities like naturopathy, homeopathy and the like in Chamba district
- Individuals will be encouraged for Yoga practice
- Medical tourism will be boosted by improving facilities of yoga, health care resorts, Ayurveda centers and panchakarma
However, the main purpose of the above said developments in the districts is to help the farmers and improve the horticulture business. With this, it would be easy for the framers to market products better and sell them.
The centers will be operated in the districts of Shimla, Mandi, Hamirpur and Dharamshala.

- Bringing in farmers under the ambit of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana
- improving the functioning of marketing boards relating to agriculture
- Offering better e-marketing system to farmers
- Forming market committees
- Starting Janani Programme aiming for the women farmers in different agricultural to give internship and fellowship program opportunities under different universities
Some other facilities
- 19 mandis have been collaborated under the e-nam system
- Under this, 59 products are offered for trading in Himachal Pradesh including vegetables and fruits
- E-Nam facilities buying and selling of agricultural items involving 1947 traders and 1,19,554 farmers
However, for the help of the beneficiaries, a total amount of amount of ₹18.18 crores has been given under the Mukhyamantri Khet Sanrakshan Yojana.
