SURVEY DESIGNING
Cloud, VoIP, and Video conferencing are vitally important in any given organization. This paper describes a survey about the three telepresence tools in different judicial institutions in the United States. Different types of surveys were used during the research. Among the surveys included online surveys, telephonic, one-to-one interviews, and paper surveys, which were dominant in the study. This survey is conducted to find out how crucial cloud, VoIP, and Videoconferencing are to the judicial system. The review was held on 20 legal institutions across the country.
The first section of the survey was Dichotomous questions. Participants were asked a “Yes” or “No” questions. Besides, the questions were strategically put the first to eliminate respondents who did not meet the requirements of the research. The judicial institutions were asked if they had used the tool. The respondents who gave a “Yes” answer continued with the survey, while those who responded negatively were eliminated.
Besides, the survey also used multiple choices. The research needed to find out how the participants knew about telepresence tools. The questions asked in this segment allowed the respondent to choose multiple answers. The choices included; Internet, Radio, Magazine, Word-of-mouth, and Other. The “other” option allowed participants who were not represented in the above choices to also respond to the question.
Lastly, rating scale questions were also included in the survey. These questions allowed each institution participant to rate the solutions with a well-defined range. The participants were asked to select the best category that fitted their last experience with Cloud, VOIP, and Videoconferencing. The groups were arranged in the following order; Very Pleasant, Somewhat Pleasant, Neither Pleasant nor Unpleasant, Somewhat Unpleasant, and Very Unpleasant.
