The Waldorf Approach
This approach is mainly based on the child, where he decides on what he should be studying. This approach mainly doesn’t push for academics; rather, they put on efforts on the development of the child’s body, soul, and spirit. The materials that are used help the child to have an imagination on what they should be learning. The materials that are used are mainly natural such as shells that are welcoming to the child in that they can attract and play with them. The materials vary from the traditional once, and they are put in one place where a child knows that after completing his project, he can come and pay a visit to them.
The environment is different from other theories since it is temporal, and this helps the child to have an adaptive feature of knowing how to adapt to different places of learning. Despite the fact that the environment is temporal, they contain chairs that are natural for the child so that he can have the familiarity of the place and the comfort of the learning process.
The teacher is the core person in the approach where he is the one to guide children on what they should learn. The success of learning is determined by how the teacher will handle children. The teacher helps the children to have the position and the attitude of learning. The teacher helps the children in cleaning the class and helping them in making responses to questions that children will be posing. The teacher will ask questions that will help the child have the attention of knowing something from him.
