The yellow wallpaper
The yellow wallpaper is a story that focuses on different aspects of human nature and the current society as a whole. The yellow paper is relevant to the modern world that is male-dominated. In the story, some instances show how women are highly underestimated and not given a chance to make their own decisions and thoughts. In the story, there is an idea that women are not only capable of their intelligence but also able to experience a sixth sense that is not fully experienced by men. The woman can feel that there is something unusual in the house and can recognize different types of vibes and clues in different situations. The woman also displays her intellect and instincts when she talks about her condition and makes suggestions of what she wants to do to feel better. The husband does not make the correct decision to help the woman, which makes the woman end up in a rebellion against the Man. The woman’s obsession with the wallpaper is not based on the color but the fact that she cannot escape from it in the house. The husband’s decision only worsened the condition of the woman than earlier, as he could not let the woman make her own decisions (Hood, 2017).
