Part II: Analysis
What is the best or worst part of the movie? Why?
From the movie fight the power by public group, the best part is when chuck D says people, people we are the same. This is because he brings out the idea of racial equality between black Americans and the whites. From the movie I have learned that there exists racial discrimination between black Americans and the whites. Other new words from the movie are the encouragement ” let me hear you” and “come on and get down” which are common in the church services of the African- American and also in their music. The director who is Spike lee is trying to teach about racism that was common in the New York neighborhood. This is evident where john Wayne made racist remarks, “I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don’t believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people.” The director is trying to show us that racism exists even among the leaders and not the citizens only. According to the movie, my best character is Chunk D. I like the way he wraps in an unremorseful and in a quarrelsome tone. This makes the song lively and entertaining. His roaring voice makes the movie sound confident and encouraging that no vthe race one can still perform in a courageous way.
