without hard work, the American dream cannot be achieved
Response
Hey Julietta Avetisyan,
I completely agree with you that without hard work, the American dream cannot be achieved at all. Especially after considering that a vicious cycle of poverty is at play. To break this cycle, you will need to plan and act accordingly. At the same time, I will differ with you on education. Education is not the key to the American dream, but money is. The American dream is all about financial security. That goes without saying, if someone offered me a few billion dollars today, I would no longer have a reason to study. Generally, I like the way you have illustrated that attaining the dream needs one to work and focus without getting distracted.
Hello Karen Mendoza,
In my view, that is precisely what the American dream is all about. Financial security, being able to spend without having to worry about the next bill. Something else you have to note is that, once people get into the high-income class, they will do everything to make sure that the dream is kept alive and enjoyed by their kids. As a result, they put measures and barriers that will prevent anyone from stealing this privilege from their kids. Hence, the good schools, which provide them with a social network which would be impossible to find in regular schools—keeping them a few steps ahead from others.
